Cara Fox has been a member of the Carson City community for over ten years, relocating here with her young family in 2008. Moving to Northern Nevada’s high desert was a significant change from her birthplace of Bermuda; spending five years in Boston, Massachusetts, for her undergraduate degree and medical research, before moving to England to attend medical school. She completed General Practice Residency initially with Oxford University, England, prior to her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Nevada, Reno.
Being a lover of the outdoors, Cara enjoys all that Northern Nevada has to offer: swimming, biking, running, yoga, skiing, and hiking. You can find her at any given time, taking full advantage of the recreational options available here in the high desert.
Cara is excited to provide primary care for the whole family. With every age, stage, and circumstance of her patients, Cara gives each of them the tools to live healthy lifestyles, but it is ultimately up to them to take responsibility for their own well-being. She enjoys coaching them on improving their health habits and as her patients work hard towards reaching their personal goals. Cara is there to celebrate their accomplishments.
