Born and raised in Decatur, Illinois, Dr. Sanders had a chance to visit Northern Nevada in 1997. Immediately, he fell in love with the open space, lack of traffic, the mild winters and the friendly people. “I imagined living here and wanted to make it happen.” He says. So, in 2000, he made the move across the states to his new home in Carson City where he soon began his career with Carson Medical Group.
His recreational diet usually consists of downhill skiing and dirt biking for which he finds plenty of opportunity here in the high desert. Reading science fiction novels is another pastime for which he tries to do as often as possible in between raising an active family.
As a Family Medicine Provider, Dr. Sanders takes pride in caring about the whole person. He wants his patients to know that he cares about how they conduct their overall health. “It starts with their diet”, he explains. “And I can help them lead healthier and happier lives by focusing on what they eat.”
Dr. Sanders believes that “If you make something a top priority, you can make it happen.” A simple rule that he lives by each and every day.
