Dr. Laura Stroup has always enjoyed taking care of other people. This was solidified for her during high school through the help of her high school’s career center. She has called Northern Nevada home most of her life, and enjoys all of the easily accessible outdoor activities this area has to offer. When she and her family aren’t hiking, or camping up at Lake Tahoe, they enjoy spending time together playing board games.
She wants her patients to know that it is ok to not be perfect. That everyone makes mistakes, and that she will be there to support and help her patients to get through things together. She feels that It is important to build a relationship with her patients, so that they feel comfortable coming to her and telling her what they may be going through. She is passionate about breastfeeding, children’s health and childhood obesity.
